Laser based manufacturing solutions

Control Micro Systems (CMS) Applications Lab
Applications Engineering

Our Applications Lab is the only testing facility that employs as diverse a range of solid-state and gaseous lasers to establish the technical and economic feasibility of your application. We utilize laser power levels from several milliwatts average power to 50 joules per pulse maximum pulse energy. Laser wavelengths span from the near ultraviolet through the visible to the far infrared. We're the only company with the resources necessary to determine the best laser for your unique marking requirements.

Electronics assembly used in continuous flow marking technology
Continuous Flow Engineering

Control Micro Systems is a pioneer in continuous product flow marking. With advanced beam steering components and proprietary imaging software, our markers can apply text without stopping the part to substantially increase the throughput of your laser marker. Our engineers can determine if your application can benefit from continuous flow marking technology.

Software packages fully integrate with the laser systems
Software Engineering

The computer is a powerful imaging tool that provides speed, versatility and seamless integration with manufacturing controls and information networks. Our software engineers can augment our standard software packages with custom operator/machine interfaces to fully integrate the laser marker into your manufacturing architecture. Custom functionality can be added, including ODBC database utilization and production reporting. We can assist your engineering staff in implementing the best image generation, image manipulation and process control solutions for your unique marking requirements.

Systems Engineering

The Systems Engineering group provides standard and custom parts-handling workstations for manual, semi-automated and fully automated production. Manufacturing cells incorporate multi-axis tables and rotary drives, vibratory bowl feeders, conveyors, pick and place part transfer and robotics. Secondary processes, including vision systems and readers, can be incorporated for establishing the marking image or subsequent process confirmation. For the highest efficiency, our engineers can integrate the laser marker into your existing part transfer system. Whether you need a stand alone system or a fully integrated marking workstation, our unique unitized designs will assure you of maximum productivity and reliability with minimum floor space requirements.
