Control Micro Systems, Inc. is a privately held corporation manufacturing high tech laser based material processing systems. Our primary client base consists of Fortune 100 companies, both national and international. Established in 1983, the company is located in 20,000 square feet of office / manufacturing space just north of University Boulevard in Winter Park, Florida (Orlando). Our rapidly expanding market share has created the immediate need for additional experienced personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, create, modify, port, and maintain source code for laser marking Systems.
• Support and respond to Quality Assurance during product testing.
• Analyze, design, code, and test software to satisfy functional/performance specifications for products.
• Incorporate new technologies into products.
• Consult and assist other software engineers on their projects as required. Perform other tasks as required. 
• Perform other tasks as required.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to support complete software solutions for a variety of business needs and challenges.
• The ability to communicate clearly with end-users, peers and management will be critical to the success of this role.

Qualifications:

• Ability to program on a Microsoft Windows platform in the following languages is required: C/C++, Visual Basic.
• Ability to read and comprehend source code is a must.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed.
• Good interpersonal and team-oriented skills needed.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and work priorities in a timely manner is necessary.

Desired Skills:

• Good working knowledge of databases, data structures and methods
• Experience with NET technologies (Visual Basic/C#)
• Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design
• Working knowledge of COM/ActiveX/XML
• Experience with multiple platforms (Windows variants/DOS) is a plus
• Experience modifying legacy applications is a plus
• Vision systems experience (ex. COGNEX, Hawkeye) is a plus
• Motion control experience (ex. Aerotech, Bosch Rexroth) is a plus.
• Ethernet system I/O experience (ex. WAGO 750 series) is a plus

The duties and requirements of the position include:

Mechanical Assembly:

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Must know how to read tape measure with working knowledge of decimals.
• Ability to work from mechanical drawings and verbal direction.
• Other duties as required.
